The Knesset plenum approved in its first reading the proposed Banking Law of MK Itzik Shmuli, whose goal is to prevent the exploitation of the elderly.
According to the proposal, the Consumer Protection Authority will be able to provide the credit companies with notice of suppliers who systematically violate the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law that deal with deception and the prohibition of unfair influence and harm many customers, and the credit companies will stop payments to those companies.
