Labor Party legal adviser Guy Bossi informed anti-Israel Professor Amir Hetzroni yesterday that he does not approve of his membership in the party, writing, "Membership in the party requires adherence to the party's charter and constitution, whose content is as far from you as the distance from East to West," according to Yisrael Hayom.
Hetzroni responded, "They will not succeed, I am a party member, and I will be a party member even when [Chairman Avi] Gabbay finishes his failed political career and returns to his home." The newspaper recalled derogatory remarks aimed at the party's Member of Knesset Amir Peretz when Hetzroni applied in 2017. Two years before that, he was removed from a television debate in which he blamed Sephardic voters for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's win in the 2015 elections and used derogatory language about the Sephardic moderator of the debate.
