Minister Yisrael Katz has told Israeli public radio that the Likud Party wants to win 40 seats in the upcoming elections.

Katz said, "Our ambition is to get 40 seats, which will enable the Likud to implement its policy. We are opposed by a crushed leftist camp. It is looking for artificial connections based on personal ambitions. We have already done everything that [the National Union's] Gabbay and Livni are promising."
