The Knesset has approved the final readings of an amendment to the Banking Law that would allow a customer who takes a mortgage to purchase a single apartment to choose the track that allows him or her to postpone the monthly repayment of a housing loan if his or her income has been hurt by unemployment, illness or childbirth.
According to the proposal, if the customer has chosen this track, he will be able to postpone the repayment date up to three months, once a year and no more than three times during the period of the loan.
