The Knesset has approved the final readings of an amendment to the Water and Sewage Corporations Law that will reduce the number of water and sewage corporations to 30 from the current 56.
In addition, the bill includes additional amendments intended to improve the efficiency and functioning of the water and sewage corporations and the level of service they provide to consumers.
