In the wake of the turmoil on Wall Street and Tel Aviv stock exchanges, the appointment of the Governor of the Bank of Israel, Prof. Amir Yaron, is being held Monday morning at the President's Residence in Jerusalem, in the presence of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon and President Reuven Rivlin.

President of the State of Israel Reuven Rivlin said about the cost of living: "Dear Professor Amir, the incoming Governor of the Bank of Israel, we have recently been informed of the fear of a rise in prices in the economy. A rise in prices harms our national effort, it harms Israelis in the middle and the weaker."
