The Cabinet has approved Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's proposal to adopt and implement the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's policy for reducing regulation.
According to the proposal, before any change in regulation, government ministries will have to conduct an international comparison, cost-benefit testing, dialogue with the public and assessments of the effectiveness of the legislation. In addition, the Prime Minister's Office will monitor the work of the ministries in order to ensure that comprehensive and thorough staff work is carried out before adding new regulation to the economy.
