Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said, Thursday, that any decision to prosecute Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on corruption charges would be based only on evidence and without extraneous considerations.

Mandelblit told the Globes business conference, "I have said in the past - we are not chasing anyone, G-d forbid, but only after truth and justice. Decisions will be made only in accordance with the evidence and the law applicable to them. No other consideration will have any effect. We will be meticulous in professionalism, on the merits, and on an orderly and professional process. We will do everything in our power to work quickly, but not at the expense of the professional quality of the decisions."
