Coalition Chairman Dudi Amsalem told Israel Defense Forces Radio, Thursday, that he would promote a bill regulating induction into the IDF despite the opposition of the haredi-religious parties.
The haredi parties opposed the current wording of the bill as a threat to yeshiva students. Amsalem said, "I will bring the induction law to the point of decision as early as next week." He also said, "In my personal position, we will agree to pass it with the support of [Yisrael Beytenu Party Chairman Avigdor] Liberman and [Yesh Atid Party Chairman Yair] Lapid despite the opposition of the haredim."
