Zionist Union leader Avi Gabbay blasted the government's plan to lower electricity prices as to offset rising food costs as "a bluff".

"Once again they they bluffed," said Gabbay. "The government will pay the Israeli Electrical Corporation. And where does the government have money? It doesn't have it. That's our money."

"It will come from housing, from education, from welfare," Gabbay added.
