David Ben Naeh was elected chairman of the Israel Synagogue Association following the passing of the legendary chairman of the organization, Eliezer Shefer.

Ben Naeh, a Jerusalemite and religious education minister, served in the IDF as an officer and commander of the settlement. He was involved in the establishment of state-religious educational institutions and later in Jewish education abroad. He initiated the establishment of settlements throughout Israel - Yeruham, Tekoa, Moshav Katif and more, and the Mitzpe Nevo neighborhood in Ma'aleh Adumim, where he served as deputy mayor.

Ben Naeh said, "It is a great privilege for me to continue along the unique path of Eliezer Shefer. Together with friends, we will do everything to continue to increase and glorify the Torah, connect the Orthodox communities in Israel and abroad and to elevate the status of a synagogue in Israel ''.
