The bill for women's work by MKs Uri Maklev, Moshe Gafni, Eli Elalouf and Meir Cohen (UTJ) was approved on the first reading.

The proposal states that an employee or worker who is absent from work for the purpose of fertility treatment will be entitled to be absent from work at the expense of their accumulated illness, up to 40 hours of absence per year for a full-time employee, or a relative part of 40 hours depending on the scope of the position.

An employee entitled to be absent due to such treatments shall be entitled to payment from the first hour of his absence.
