In a post on Twitter, US Senator Ted Cruz (R) said that he and his fellow Senator Tom Cotton had introduced a resolution in the Senate calling on the US to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
"Israel gained possession over Golan Heights in a defensive war over 50 years ago & has responsibly controlled the area. It’s past time for the US to recognize reality by affirming Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights." Senator Cruz wrote.
