Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection Yaron Mazuz (Likud) sent a letter to Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon demanding that Amnesty International be removed from the list of organizations whose donors are entitled to tax benefits under section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance.
In his letter, Deputy Minister Mazuz noted that the organization "encourages non-enlistment in the IDF and claims above all that the IDF soldiers are murderers."
Deputy Minister Mazuz also noted that the organization recently initiated "the international campaign of '50 years of occupation 'calling for an economic boycott of Israel and issued a call to put Israeli soldiers and officers on trial at the International Court of Justice in The Hague."
