The Health Ministry says it cannot promise that it will allow students who studied medicine at the Nicolae Testemiţanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Moldova that they will be able to take the medical exam, let alone practice in Israel.

Following a recent tour of the school, where many Israelis study, the ministry noted a significant gap in clinical teaching, due to a small number of fields, relative to the number of students. The ministry considers clinical instruction a central and essential component in the study of medicine and takes it into consideration when reviewing applications to take the licensing exam.
