Chairman Ofer Shelah of the Yesh Atid Knesset faction has slammed the decision of the Council for Higher Education to establish supervision over the legal clinics in the universities.
Shelah said, "It is a foolish attempt to strangle a wonderful social and academic enterprise, which is not funded by state funds. The ignorant and violent minister of education, who is interested in pursuing imaginary enemies, is harming academia's connection to life and help to the weak. Maybe [Naftali] Bennett should focus on his ridiculous efforts to be defense minister, because as minister of education he is only doing harm."
