Violent clashes broke out on Saturday night between Border Police officers and IDF soldiers in Beit El. The Hakol Hayehudi website reported that during the violent arrest of demonstrators from Beit El, Netzach Yehuda soldiers who are friends of the fighters who were killed in the attack in Givat Assaf, protested against the violence used by the officers against the residents.
According to eyewitnesses, the Border Police officers violently detained the soldiers and even took away their weapons. One of the soldiers managed to escape and take his weapon back. The Border Policemen followed him to the Netzach Yehuda base, where his comrades defended him and reportedly prevented the policemen from entering the base.
The other soldier was transferred by the Border Police officers to the commander of the Netzach Yehuda Brigade, and the second soldier was summoned to the commander as well. According to the report, the two soldiers suffered bruises from the violence used by the Border Police officers.
