Jeremy Issacharoff, Israel's Ambassador to Germany, wrote on Twitter, Tuesday morning, "More must be done to counter antisemitism in all its forms and from wherever it emanates. It threatens Jews in Germany specifically but also threatens German society as a whole."

Issacharoff cited a tweet by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas that said, "If the Jews in Germany say over the last five years that 52% of them have been harassed, that 75% did not dare to wear the kippah and 46% avoid certain places-then that is shameful for our country. We have to stand up against anti-Semitism!"
