The Knesset has approved the final readings of an amendment to the bill for compensation for victims of hostile acts raised by Member of Knesset Revital Swid (Zionist Union), according to which a person whose relative was killed in hostilities will be entitled to choose the cemetery in which the deceased will be buried.
MK Swid explained, "This bill was born after the murderous attack in [Tel Aviv's] Sarona [market complex], when the family of Ido Ben Ari, who was murdered in the attack, wanted to bury him near Yavneh but encountered difficulties because at the time of the attack he lived in Ramat Gan."
