Minister of Education Naftali Bennett attacked a proposal published in Haaretz that senior officials and commanders should be appointed by the president.
"The idea that the president will appoint senior officials and commanders is folly. Imagine a company whose managers choose an external person who is not the CEO. Delicious. The appointment authority should be granted to the person responsible for the results. It should be the responsibility of the ministers to appoint. If we do not provide results, the public will replace them, "Bennett said.
