The Council of the European Union (EU) approved, Thursday, the first declaration of its kind to fight anti-Semitism and strengthen the security of Jewish communities in Europe.

The Declaration, adopted at the Forum of Ministers of Justice and the Interior of the Member States, calls on EU countries to take important steps to ensure the security of Jewish communities, institutions and citizens in Europe "to ensure a future for the Jewish people with the same sense of security and freedom as all other European Union citizens." In addition, the importance of education and memory of the Holocaust is emphasized, and special attention is paid by law enforcement agencies in Europe to anti-Semitic content on the network calling for terror.
