Daniel Trager, who is considered a key suspect in drug offenses, escaped Israeli police investigators just before he was supposed to be extradited from Brazil, according to local media.
Trager is suspected in what is called the "white skies" case, in which an undercover agent foiled a drug deal worth 8 million shekels, and during the course of the investigation, evidence of serious offenses was collected against 37 suspects. At the time police noted that "the highlight of this activity was the gathering of evidence against a main suspect who is staying outside the borders of the state."
