The official value of the shekel declined an average of .389 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.718, up .450 percent from Friday, while the Euro rose .017 percent to 4.2116 shekels and the pound sterling was set at 4.7284 shekels, down .021 percent. The Canadian and Australian dollars jumped more than 1.3 percent each, leading a number of currencies significantly upward in reaction to the trade truce between the US and China and the US suspension of a tariff increase.
