Twenty-four gold coins and a gold earring were discovered a few days ago in excavations at the Caesarea National Park.
The gold treasure was hidden inside a small bronze vessel and concealed in the side of a well that belonged to a house in the neighborhood, dating to the Abbasid and Fatimid periods (some 900 years ago).
