Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein instructed Knesset Executive Director Albert Saharovitz Sunday night to allow female Knesset workers who would like to do so, to strike on Tuesday as part of the protest against the murder of women in Israel.
Noting that all Knesset committees are to hold discussions on the matter this week, Edelstein said, "We are committed to denouncing any form of violence against women, and the Knesset will act to raise awareness of the issue and to combat the phenomenon."
