Coalition Chairman Dudi Amsalem has strongly criticized Yesh Atid Party Chairman Yair Lapid for his attack on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in response to the Supreme Court's extension of time for the government to pass a law regulating induction into the Israel Defense Forces which would put a greater burden of service on haredi-religious Jews.
Lapid accused Netanyahu of giving in to haredi parties. Interviewed by Israeli public radio, Amsalem said, "He is lying. He has no idea what is going on with the draft law. He himself did not serve in the IDF fundamentally. We would expect someone like him to serve at least in a combat support force."
