Yisrael Beytenu Party Chairman Avigdor Liberman has criticized the Supreme Court's decision to grant the government a six-week extension to enact a new law regulating induction into the Israel Defense Forces.
Liberman said, "It is unfortunate that the Supreme Court did not put an end to the sensitive and painful issue that has accompanied the state since its establishment. The Supreme Court, in its decision, gave the possibility of additional foot dragging by the government of [political] survival and turned the issue of recruitment into a problem of political bargaining that exposes the government to the pressures and manipulations of anti-Zionist elements."
