As of today (Sunday), a special theory test adapted for electric cyclists can be performed, under the decision of Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz that an electric bicycle be used with a permit as of January 1st.
The ministry has established a new license class (A3) for the test. Its 30 professional questions relate to proper riding on electric bicycles, road use and traffic laws. To take the test, theory students will be required to produce a student card (green form) at the photography station, after which, the exam may be taken at any of the 45 theory-test centers located around the country.
