Chairman Avigdor Liberman of the Yisrael Beytenu Party has criticized Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev, who accused him of bringing down the Cultural Loyalty bill.
Interviewed by Israeli public radio, the former defense minister said, "The combination of the words 'Miri Regev' and 'culture' is absurd in and of itself. She has no grounds to complain to Yisrael Beytenu, when the person who submits the law is the coalition. Why does she come with claims against the opposition?" where Yisrael Beytenu has been since Liberman resigned his ministerial post.
