The State Prosecutor's Office of Taxation and Economics, headed by Liat Ben-Ari, has completed the preparation of its opinion in the case of expensive gifts given to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and a case involving conversations Netanyahu had with Yediot Ahronot publisher Arnon Mozes, according to Channel 10 Television.
The State Prosecutor's Office forwarded the findings to State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan, who will then pass on his decision to Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit - in preparation for a final decision whether to indict the prime minister Netanyahu. In the past, Ben-Ari was quoted in closed forums, saying that in one of these cases Netanyahu would be put on trial for bribery. The Attorney General is expected to wait until the recommendations of the State Attorney's Office are submitted to all the cases in which the Prime Minister is involved, and only afterwards to decide whether to recommend him to trial and on what counts.
