Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has decided not to send his Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber to tomorrow's meeting of the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee on a bill to regulate appointing legal advisors for government offices.
Mandelblit's decision was made against the backdrop of Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked threatening to impose sanctions against Zilber following her political statements against the Cultural Loyalty bill. Ma'ariv reports that a number of Knesset members planned to protest if she came. Two Justice Ministry attorneys will appear before the committee.
