Interior Minister Aryeh Deri has asked Jerusalem City Councilman Michael Halberstam, through a rabbinical pleader, to apologize within 72 hours and to make it clear that he heard in a conversation yhat he intended to unite all parts of the ultra-Orthodox camp, in contrast to the reports reported in the news.
Deri also demands that council member Yossi Deitch clarify and apologize for the publication of what he claims to include what he called "defamation of him and as a result, a serious blow to his reputation as someone who respects the great Torah scholars of Israel."
