Deputy Minister Michael Oren has rejected the call by United Nations envoy to the Middle East Nickolay Mladenov for Israel to ease its security blockade on Gaza.
Writing in Hebrew on Twitter, the former ambassador to the United States said, "The siege is a myth - there is no restriction on food, clothing, medicines and toys. What there is is a closure on weapons and materials that can be used as weapons. To ask Israel to remove the closure is equivalent to suicide."
