About 80 children who were in the shopping mall in Kiryat Ono on Thursday were called in for preventive treatment against measles after they were exposed to a measles-infected girl who was treated at a clinic in the mall, according to Channel 2 News. Not only did the Health Ministry summon all the children who were in the clinic at the time - but also those who were on her route in the mall until she reached the clinic.
So far, about 1,800 Israelis have contracted measles, which has been spreading in recent weeks in Israel. According to the Ministry of Health, the main cause of the disturbing outbreak is parents who refuse to vaccinate their children.
