President Reuven spoke, Sunday at the “Made in Israel” event marking 70 years of Israeli creativity at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. He said, “70 years of creativity is an opportunity to remember 70 years of commitment to art. A commitment to hold an undistorted mirror in front of us, a commitment to be a mouth for those whose voices are not heard, a commitment to look the world in the face and to challenge it."

Rivlin continued, "We Israelis are known as a people with chutzpah, an impudent people. There is no doubt that Israeli art has an obligation to be impertinent. Israeli creativity and Israeli artists have always been faithful to that obligation. We all hope they remain so for the next 70 years.”
