The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, called on the prime minister to accede to the request of the Jewish Home Party and to hand over the defense portfolio to party chairman Naftali Bennett.
"I call on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister Naftali Bennett to sit together until white smoke emerges ... Naftali Bennett could be an excellent defense minister for the State of Israel, there is no reason to dismantle this government," Dagan said.
