Ofer Shelah of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has called on the political echelon to strike hard at Hamas in Gaza.
Playing on his Yesh Atid (There is a Future) Party's name in responding to the escalation in the south, Shelah said, "Now is the time for a strong blow, to make it clear to Hamas that its aggression will only bring disaster, and then to do what has not been done for four years: a far-reaching move to change the humanitarian situation, which will make it clear to Gaza's residents that there is another future and that Hamas is preventing them from reaching it."
