In light of the security tensions, Mayor Tomer Glam has ordered the opening of all public communal shelters deployed in neighborhoods throughout Ashkelon. Teams of the Operations Administration are making their way to the various centers in order to do so.
A short time ago, an assessment of the situation was completed, during which the mayor stated, "As of now, there are no special instructions for the residents, but if necessary, I would like to act according to the Home Front Command's defense instructions, which have proven to be life saving."
The municipality announced that updates will follow.
