Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Sunday, that the end of World War I was significant in Israeli history for two reasons.
Speaking at a news conference in Paris following a ceremony to mark the occasion, he said the first was the departure of the Ottoman Empire from the Land of Israel. The second was the activity of Jewish legions which served as springboard for the Israel Defense Forces.
