Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu responds to the decision of the senior public service appointments committee to approve the appointment of a new governor of the Bank of Israel.
"I am sure that Prof. Amir Yaron will lead the Bank of Israel responsibly and will help continue the success of the Israeli economy," Netanyahu said.
The Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance will appoint Professor Yaron as Governor of the Bank of Israel which is pending Cabinet approval at its next meeting.
