Jerusalem District Police Chief Yoram Halevy told officers serving under him on Thursday that he would resign from the police after not being appointed to be the next commissioner, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio.
Halevy told his associates that he was not ready to stay another day under the command of current commissioner Roni Alsheikh.
