Danny Danon, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, wrote on Twitter, Monday, "The Iranian Ambassador to the UN just blamed the US for acting irresponsibly, but it is Iran that pursues nuclear weapons, funds Hamas & Hezbollah, & conducts terror operations in Europe. The world should join the US in imposing sanctions!"
He was responding to a tweet by Iran's UN mission that said, "The irresponsible conduct of the United States necessitates a collective response by the international community in order to uphold the rule of law, to prevent undermining diplomacy and to protect multilateralism." Iran was reacting to sanctions by the US going into effect.
