A Palestinian Arab who entered the Judea and Samaria area Sunday from Jordan via the Allenby Bridge was caught trying to smuggle 70 ancient coins of great cultural and national value.
After he was caught by the customs inspectors at the crossing, he was transferred to an archaeological unit in the Civil Administration for questioning. Later he was transferred to Israel Police for further treatment.
