MK Yousef Jabareen (Joint List) responded on Sunday night to the plan by the mayor of Upper Nazareth to rename the city.
"I see positively the change of name as it aims to prevent confusion, because there is only one Nazareth and that is the Arab Nazareth which is one of the most important historical places in the world. At the same time, it is important to ensure that this is not a change that will deepen the discrimination and economic gaps between the two cities,” said Jabareen, according to Ma'ariv.
