Kobi Blitstein, the deputy director of infrastructures at the Ministry of Transportation, told Israeli public radio, Sunday evening, "Most of the recent accidents on Route 90, unfortunately, are not dependent on infrastructures, but on driver behavior. In the specific location of the accident this morning, and in the accident in which the Atar family was killed, there is no problem with the infrastructure. There's a whole wide new road there."
Blitstein also said, "This slogan, that highways be divided everywhere - is not true in our opinion. A concrete railing in the middle of the road also has its limitations. Israel is the country with the most divided highways in the OECD except Portugal."
