As of Sunday, residents of East Jerusalem who arrive at the Allenby crossing for an exit to Jordan with a valid travel permit will be exempt from paying for an exit ticket.
To date, East Jerusalemites have been asked to pay for both an exit ticket and a return visa. As of Sunday, as stated, the purchase of a valid transit certificate will exempt passers-by from paying for an exit ticket of NIS 230.
