The extreme left wing Peace Now organization has criticized Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman's announcement that he would allow construction in the old Hevron wholesale market, which is build on Jewish-owned land.
Peace Now claimed. "In order to maintain 800 settlers among a quarter of a million Palestinians, entire streets are closed to Palestinians. Insult has been added to injury here - the decision to allocate the market to the settlers is the acceptance of the 'right of return' to the Jews."
