A short time ago, police received a report about a suspect who stole a cell phone from a woman in the Carmel market and ran away.
Israeli police officers arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the incident.
A few minutes later, the police found the suspect in the old Central Bus Station area and arrested him. The 40-year-old Sudanese citizen was taken for questioning at the Tel Aviv police station. Tomorrow morning he will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for a hearing on his remand extension.
