Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, the municipal rabbi of the Judean city of Efrat and founder of the Ohr Torah Stone institutions, has called on Jews from the United States to immigrate to Israel.

Interviewed by Arutz Sheva in the wake of the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre, Rabbi Riskin said, "I do not want them to come on aliyah because of anti-Semitism, but because they will understand that it's better here. Efrat is much better and pretty. I hope that the situation there will not be worse so they will have to immigrate quickly but in the meantime they are in a state of caution. They must be careful and place guards at the entrances to synagogues. I am not saying that this is the end of American Jewry, but there is a message of danger here."
