A number of officials in the Pittsburgh Jewish community wrote an open letter to US President Donald Trump asking him not to come to the city to attend ceremonies commemorating the 11 victims of the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue.
"In the past three years, your words and policies have intensified the growing movement of white nationalism. You have called the murderer evil, but the violence is the direct continuation of your influence," the letter said. The letter further stated that Trump is not welcome in Pittsburgh until he condemns the white nationalist movement and stops verbally attacking immigrants and refugees.
